These images and inspirational quotes can be found in my debut 2012 calendar, “Seascapes of the Central Coast.”

I will be donating 10% of the sales from these calendars to the ‘National Breast Cancer Foundation’ to assist them with their mission to save lives by increasing the awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need.

This project is very close to my heart, as my mother was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.  The cancer was detected while she was having her regular mammogram.  She had no known symptoms or lumps as the type of cancer she has was undetectable through self examination.

Fortunately for my mum, with the increasing awareness of breast cancer, the need for regular mammograms and the advancements in technology, they were able to detect and treat the cancer successfully.

If not for our dedication to eliminating this disease, my mothers diagnosis may have been different.

Most of us have been or will be affected by cancer in one way or another.  And it is these contributions that will help make a difference.
